Ḥayyart Qalbī was sung in public for the first time in December, 1961 (with Ansāk). I guess the studio version was recorded shortly before the concert, to be released immediately. The standard 33rpm disc is taken from an (unidentified) concert, but this is a Philips 45rpm record issued in France by the Dutch company, which seemingly owned the rights for Umm Kulthūm "Misrphon" recordings in France in the early 1960s, and it is the studio rendition. Misrofone later morphed into Sono Cairo, and various distributors manufactured the 33rpms in Europe. When I started buying Umm Kulthūm records in the late 1970-early 1980s, there weren't any 45rpms on the market anymore. As often with 45rpms, a worn-out surface is even worse than an acoustic 78rpm, so the khashkhasha is horrible, but this should be taken as a document.
