السلام عليكم
نكمل اليوم حفل نوفمبر 1954 بسينما ريفولى الذى اقامته كوكب الشرق بالوصلة الأولى التى غنت فيها الاغنية المحبوبة جددت حبك ليه

اقدمها لكل عشاق أم كلثوم واتمنى ان تنال اعجابكم

شكرا يا "أمّ كلثوم" ؛ منذ أيّام فاتني تسجيل حفلة أخرى لجدّدت حبّك ليه بثّتها إذاعة الأغاني ونسبتها إلى السّادس من مايو 1954 ؛ ولكن أما كان بإمكانك رفع مستوى الجودة قليلا باستخدام نسبة ضغط 32 كيلو بايت في الثّاينة مثلا أم أنّ سرعة خطّك لا تسمح بذلك ؟

I just read Fred's comment in a different thread, where he wrote that a song such as Gaddedte Hobbak Leh in a sense doesn't require improvisations for it to stand on its own,
so to speak. I completely agree (even though I'd always like to hear the Lady improvising),
and in this case, we actually hardly hear improvisations in the different versions of this song
(the only exception I can remember now is the Damascus concert, which is so beautiful!).

What software program or service do you use to download the files from YouTube?

I've tried several options and they all worked well. One of them is Internet Download Manager, an application that practically allows you to provide any video or audio available for streaming/online playing even when the download option is purposefully deactivated (I tried it on youtube, soundcloud and many other websites).In the case of audio clips uploaded on youtube in the guise of video clips, you would still need to use a video converter to get an mp3 file. That's why I have been using an online service that performs the conversion before offering the file to download. It also has the advantage of allowing you to enter mp3 tags in the same time you enter the address of the clip you want to convert/download. It is quick, reliable, simple to use and provides a good quality output. Its only down side is that it carries some unwanted pop-ups. But they don't seem to cause any persistent harm.
